A few more fabulous wedding day details - this inspiration board is from Allison and Andy’s wedding up at Planet Bluegrass last weekend.
A few credits: the scrumptious three-tiered cake was made by Colorado Rose Cake Company, and the stunning bouquets and arrangements were created by Jeralyn at Living Arts Floral Design. The entire event was expertly catered by Spice of Life. More photos to come soon (including a few of Phat Daddy, the incredibly talented band that rocked the reception!)

Colorado summer portraits.. and with all of the rain we’ve been having everything is so vibrantly green and lush - a perfect backdrop for a portrait session. M & G are adorable sisters - so gregarious and expressive and full of energy. They danced for me, they twirled, they sang, they laughed, and they even braved the rustic nature of our location (translation: mosquitos and spiders!) Such troopers - and the result? here are a few:

I know I promised a few more from Stacey and Luke’s fabulous wedding weekend at the St Regis in Aspen, Colorado - so I need to backtrack and start with their engagement session.. Stacey and Luke are from out of state, and since this was a destination wedding for them we didn’t have an opportunity to meet in person until the day before the wedding (which is when I met up with them to get a few engagement portraits before covering the rehearsal dinner) Here are a few of my favorites..

Last week I had the chance to do a trash the dress shooting workshop up in an old ghost town near Central City. It was such a great location with amazing rustic backdrops, fabulous bridal bouquets from Boulder Blooms, and gorgeous model brides to work with. I love taking advantage of opportunities like this.. it’s a chance to shoot for myself without the time constraints of a typical wedding day, and it’s a great opportunity to step out of my comfort zone. For anyone considering doing a bridal session or a trash the dress session I highly recommend it! Here are a few of my favorites..

Colorado Engagement Photography - Heather and John in Boulder

Heather and John met while attending CU, so Boulder was the natural choice for the location of their engagement session. We started at Chautauqua Park for some casual outdoorsy portraits - I just love that late afternoon golden light! Then we went to Pearl Street for a few urban shots in downtown Boulder. Their wedding will be in July at Ten Mile Station up in Breckenridge - I can’t wait!

The ISPWP is comprised of an amazing array of talented photographers from throughout the world, and I was thrilled to learn that three of my images placed in the top ten in three different categories. Last weekend I attended an all-day shooting workshop in downtown Denver with the PPC (Professional Photographers of Colorado). The focus was high school senior portrait photography, and it was a blast - grungy urban locations with great textures, wonderful senior high school models, and an amazing group of talented photographers.
